2011 International Jendo / Arnis Championships

IJF President Grandmaster Prof. Jonathan Makiling-Abaya announces the holding of 2011 International Jendo and Arnis Championships on February 24 to 27, 2011 4th IMGC International Martial Arts Games at Tallinn City, the capital of Estonia. Members and interested participants are advised to contact IJF at [email protected] or the Secretariat at [email protected].

Filipino Martial Arts Jendo and Arnis will be included in the 2011 International Martial Arts Games along with other disciplines like Taekwondo, Karate, Wushu, Muay-Thai, Aikido, Spocham and Kudo
The event will be held in frameworks of the cultural program: «Tallinn 2011 – Cultural capital of Europe».
The description:
The World Martial Art Games is a grandiose international event that includes competitions in various kinds of combats, festival of martial arts and national folklore, an exposition of creativity of various nations of the world and other cultural actions.
The competitive program unites more than 10 kinds of combats which number increases with every Games. In fact, it is a kind of Martial Arts Olympic Games.
Games are held every two years since 2004.
In 2008 of Game were organized in Bangkok (Thailand).
Representatives from more than 50 countries took part in them.
The President of GAISF Hein Verbruggen attended the Games as the guest of honour at solemn opening.
